Andrew Kishore was born on 04 November 1955 in Rajshahi, where he spent his childhood and adolescence. That’s where he grew up. He studied at Rajshahi University. Andrew Kishore was a student of Ustad Abdul Aziz Bachchu’s ‘Surbani Sangeet Vidyalaya’.
Andrew Kishore left the country for Singapore on September 9 last year for advanced treatment due to various complications in his body. After various tests, on September 17, he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His treatment began under Lim Sun Thai, a physician at the Singapore General Hospital. His treatment continued there for several months. While undergoing treatment, he voluntarily returned to the country and said, ‘I want to go to my country and die, not here.’ On the afternoon of June 11, he returned home by air ambulance from Singapore. Go back to Rajshahi, where he started his journey.

Andrew Kishore sang songs of almost all genres, including Nazrul, Rabindranath, modern, folk music, and patriotic songs after the war of independence of Bangladesh as a musician listed on Rajshahi Betar. Andrew Kishore started singing in the film in 1986. In the movie ‘Mail Train,’ he sang the song ‘Ochinpurer rajkumari nei je tar keu.’ But Andrew Kishore gained popularity through the song ‘Dak Diyachen Doyal Amare,’ written by Moniruzzaman Monir, whose composer and music director was Alam Khan.

He spent most of his life singing in movies. He was so busy with movies that he didn’t make much of an album in the audio market. Along with music, Andrew Kishore also joined the business. In 1978, Ahmad Yusuf, Anwar Hossain Bulu, Dolly Zahur, and others started an advertising company called ‘Prabah’ for TV dramas, commercials, and other productions.

In a condolence message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the people will remember Andrew Kishore in their hearts through his songs. The Prime Minister wished Andrew Kishore peace of mind and extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
